  • Relocation Assistance

Relocation is a part of the Air Force way of life.  Every set of PCS orders means packing up and moving yourself, your family and your belongings to a new duty location.  Just like every other task you’ll face in life--proper planning will ease much of the stress and frustration.  We provide support information and services to help prepare single and married members and their families for relocation.

SMOOTH MOVE:
- 1st Monday of every month at the A&FRC; 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
- This workshop is designed to provide military and spouses information as you relocate to a new assignment.

WING RIGHT START:
- Every 2nd Wednesday, call Intro Program 696 - 6849
- This fair is designed to provide local information for those newly arrived members and their families to Dyess AFB.

CHILD CARE FOR PCS:
- For all incoming and outgoing personnel
- 20 hours of free childcare (per child)
- Vouchers must be used within 60 days of arrival or departure.
- Base Family Childcare (FCC) assists with locating a provider
- Stop by the A&FRC to pick up a certificate (you'll need to give us a copy of the PCS orders)

HAPPY LANDINGS:
- 3rd Wednesday of every month at the A&FRC; 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
- Base welcome / orientation program for spouses from base agencies in assisting transistion to Dyess AFB.

HEARTLINK:
- Offered quarterly to new AF spouses; 8:45 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
- Helps the understanding of the Air Force, some of the agencies that are available to all and the spouse's contribution to the military and the mission
- Explains some important benefits and entitlements as a military family member.
