This hole is a dogleg to the right. Our manager recommends hitting a 3-wood or a long iron to the corner of the dogleg, which will leave you about 160 or so yards from the green. Those who have a little Tiger Woods in them can try to drive to the green by hitting over the dogleg and saving a stroke. There is a bunker on the right front of the green so play your approach a little left of the pin. |

This hole is a extreme dogleg to the right. This hole also has a water hazard on the left side of the course at the dogleg. The average golfer should play this hole like the first-long iron to the corner of the dogleg and then swing for the green. If you use too much club on the drive from the tee, the water hazard will come into play. From the corner of the bend, you will be about 195 yards to the pin. For those feeling invincible, again, cut the dogleg. Stay left as you approach the green- there is a large sand trap that covers about three-quarters of the front of the green. |

Ground Hogs day -- this hole is a dogleg to the right. Same instructions for this hole as for the first two holes. Hit a 3-wood or a driver to carry as far as you can so you will have a short iron to the green. Shot placement is important since there are two trees that frame the approach to the fairway. There is a bunker to the right and in front of the green, but it isn't much of a factor.

Par - 3, 200 yards
Sat View |
This hole is the most difficult Par-3 on the course. Hit a long iron or fairway wood to reach the green, which is a push-up green-an extremely elevated green. The mesquite trees factor into play on the left side of this hole so keep your shots in the middle. The greens are so soft so a high shot is needed to get the ball to stick on the green. If you go long, you will find yourself in no-man's land of more mesquite. Just so you know; 4 on this hole is a good score! |

Par - 5, 545 yards

First Par-5 of the course, a dogleg right also. This hole should be played the same way as the first three. For those really brave types, go ahead and cut the dogleg, just be aware that several large trees and a HUGE evergreen come into play if you do. land short and you'll have to deal with the fore mentioned obstacles. Hit long, you are in the mesquite on the left side of the fairway. The safest way to play this hole is to hit a long iron to the curve and keep the ball in the middle of the fairway. Once you cleared the big turn, you'll have a straight shot to the hole. it is another elevated green with a bunker on the right front of the green. |

This hole is a dogleg left with a narrow fairway with trees on the left and right and a creek guarding the approach to the green. Best to hit a long iron, lay up short of the creek-leaving about a 150-yard to the green. |

This is the second Par-5 and the easiest on the front-9. It plays to the left so those with a draw will like this hole. There is a creek just past the tee box and a lake on the left side of the fairway so if you have a stout hook, aim right. Most should be able to reach the green in two strokes. There is a bunker guarding the right front of the green so keep your shots down the middle as you approach the green.

The second Par-3 is a straight forward hole-what you see is what you get. There are two bunkers, one on the left and right of the green. The green is elevated so you need to carry the ball onto the green and make it stick.

#9
Par - 4,

Hardest hole on the front-9. A slight dogleg left with a prevailing wind blowing from left to right, so you slicers and faders, this means the wind has a tendency to push the ball right. It is very important to keep your shots in the middle of the fairway. The fairway is wide so power away on the tee shot. A good drive will leave about 200 yards short of the green, which is a demanding and challenging two tier green. There is a trap on the front of the green so if you hit short, you'll have to deal with that or having to putt up the false green to the pin. The green is short and if you go long, you will have two pampas grass obstacles.

Par - 4, 405 yards

This hole fades left with a lot of mesquite trees to the right, so keep your shots to the left of the fairway. The approach to the green is narrow and watch out for the large mesquite tree to the left side of the fairway, but a trade off, the green is large without any bunkers

Slight dogleg left that factors in the lake to how you play the ball. Recommendation is to stay left! Hit a long iron or fairway wood for your first shot. There are two trees on the approach to the green and the green is another elevated green with a bad slope off the back side. Your shot to the green needs to be hit high enough to make it stick when it lands.

This hole is a straight shot but a difficult one to finish. It is narrow and the south westerly winds can cause problems here. Slicers and faders could have quite the challenge. Mesquite on the left and a sand trap on the right. And if you hit really far right, there is a big drainage "ditch." There is also a fair amount of hard pan to the left of the green. Favor the left side of the green, which is large, for your shot. Our manager says, it's not uncommon to 3-putt this hole.

A straight narrow hole with the drainage ditch on your right hand side again and very little trouble on your left. You need to keep your shots in the middle of the fairway on this one. Tee up and blast it with your "Killer Bee" or "Big Bertha" club. The green is another small, unforgiving, elevated area with very pronounced drop-offs on all sides. It should be noted that the prevailing wind is now right to left. Make the ball stick on the green or have fun chipping back on. This one can be a punisher if you miss.

Another Par-5, is a straight away narrow hole. Hit your driver as you are so inclined. The drainage ditch is still a factor on the right side of the fairway with trees on the left. Big hitters can reach the green in two, an average player in three. Halfway down the fairway, mesquite trees come more into play. There is a large, elevated green to shoot at from here but there is little room for error on your approach shot.

This straight hole that rises in elevation for the tee box to the green --- tee it high and let it fly! The hole will play a little longer because of this incline. The only real hazard on this hole is the mesquite grove to the left of the fairway. The green is large and forgiving with a slight slope off the left and the right.

Par - 4, 447 yards

This hole is a dogleg right. It is affected by southwesterly winds blowing left to right. the fairway narrows or bottlenecks about midway to the green with trees on the left and right. Shot placement is a must, so use the longest club you have the best control with. If you can hit a good fade, use it. If not, play this down the middle or even a little left. The approach to the large green is uphill. A four on this hole is a good score.
|
#17
Par - 3, 175 yards

Not an easy hole despite being short. You have to hit the green on this one or play it short and chip your ball up to the pin. The green is a medium green with a back to front slope which makes it tough to make the ball stick. Miss the green and you could be dropped to the 18th tee box on the left, mesquite behind and a hard pan to the right. Par on this hole is a good score.
|
#18
Par -5, 583 yards
Sat View |
The final hole of the course is also the longest. It is lined by trees on both sides of the fairway but there is still plenty of room to play. Use woods and long irons on this hole to keep the ball down since you will be playing into the prevailing wind. Despite the length of this hole, a person should be able to make par. The green is large and soft with a minimal elevation |
