Dyess FamCamp

FAMCAMP is located in one of the quietest areas of the base, making this a premier location. There are many local attractions and activities to take advantage of during your stay. Campers can enjoy some of the lowest fees in the Big Country at only $35 a night, $165 weekly, or $420 a month.

On-site Amenities include:

  • 24 Full hook-ups sites includes; 20/30/50 amps of electricity, water and sewage hook-ups.
  • Laundry and bath facilities.
  • Water and dump station.
  • WiFi password and cable box can be obtained at the Outdoor Recreation main office.
  • Local TV channels; CBS-8, NBC-12, FOX-20 and ABC-32.
  • Tent camping.
  • Basic picnic tables with barbecue grills.
  • One base pond (pets are not allowed to swim in base pond). Fishing requires Dyess fishing permit and Texas fishing permit.

Reservations can be made 60 days out by Active Duty Members and 30 days out for all other eligible users.

Authorized patrons include Active Duty Military, Reserves, Retirees, DoD Cardholders, and their families.

Rules make for Happy Campers

The rules and policies of the Dyess AFB FAMCAMP are in place for the protection of guests, personnel, and property. Any guest violating these rules and policies may be asked to correct their behavior and/or vacate the property at the discretion of camp personnel. All guest stays are at the courtesy and discretion of the 2 FSS Commander. NO EXCEPTIONS TO RULES.

Guest Rules
  • Payment – Due prior to occupying site.
  • Speed limit10MPH max limit.
  • Check-out time – 11am.
  • Quiet hours – 10pm-7am
  • Dumping dirty water – Dumping of gray/black water on the ground is NOT permitted.
  • Parking placement – Please do NOT park any vehicle or motorcycles on the grass. Occupy only the site you are assigned to. 
  • Vehicle maintenance – On camp grounds or site is NOT allowed.
  • ALL VEHICLE AND CAMPERS – Must maintain current state registration. No unlicensed vehicles allowed. 
  • NO OPEN FIRES ALLOWED OUTSIDE – Cooking is restricted to propane and charcoal grills. Please, no HOT coals in the trash receptacles or thrown on the campsite or ground.
  • OIL/CHEMICAL – Leaks and/or spills must be cleaned up immediately.
  • SEWER HOSE HOOKUPS MUST have a sewer adapter or sewer ring.
  • CLEANING – Please leave the site clean and free of debris.
  • PET POLICY – Pets must be on a leash at all times. Pets may not be left outdoors at night or when you are not at your camper & may not be tied to canopies or picnic tables. All pet waste must be picked up. Owners will ensure, pets do not disturb other i.e. no constant barking, no walking of pets through occupied sites, etc… Pets must be inside RV during quiet hours.
